Square of a Binomial
This is about the basic operations of simple binomials. It is a common square calculation of two terms in brackets that requires you to calculate each value with each other. But to make life easier there is a shortcut.
(a + b)² = a² + 2 • a • b + b²
(a - b)² = a² - 2 • a • b + b²
(a + b)(a - b) = a² - b²
Instead of making the full calculation, you only need to put the values from the left side of the equation into the right side of the equation.
